About Shady River Campground....

We are located in the Elk River. We use the river for kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating, inner tubing, and other water recreation. We have 115 mostly shaded sites, all with water and electrical hookups, 40 with sewer, and also a sanitary dump station. We also feature a playground for the younger set, plus a volleyball court, basketball hoop, and horseshoe pits. There are one mile of roads in the campground plus 7 miles of paved hiking and biking trails maintained by the city located across the highway. We are a family oriented campground and do our level best to maintain a family atmosphere. We allow pets but insist that you control them on a leash, clean up after them, and take them with you whenever you leave the grounds for any reason.
